Our Clinical Advisory Board
The Prognosis Health Information Systems Clinical Advisory Board provides Prognosis with strategic advice and guidance on clinical matters relevant to the development of ChartAccess. The Board consists of leaders in patient care with diverse clinical backgrounds. Each member provides substantive advice in their area of expertise to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of Prognosis products and services.
Additionally, the experience and knowledge of each member signals the commitment of Prognosis to the highest standards of clinical quality and excellence. The Board applies their combined insight to suggest and improve features geared specifically to support the efforts of nursing staff and physicians.
The Prognosis CMIO Panel
The Prognosis Health Information Systems CMIO Panel focuses on the necessary integration of technology and medical applications. Our CMIO panel members provide physician leadership to ChartAccess clinical development and overall strategy. Panel members are board certified and maintain a clinical practice. They oversee the direction of the design and implementation of ChartAccess, provide physician education, and support physicians and other users of ChartAccess regarding the purposes and functions of our clinical information system.

Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist; Diplomate, American Board of Radiology; Partner, Houston Radiology Associated; Medical Director, The Methodist Hospital Imaging Center, West Houston; Medical Director, Radiology, The Methodist West Houston Hospital
Barbara Owens, PhD, RN, Certified Oncology Nurse, Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse; currently a NCLEX Live Review Instructor with Elsevier. Retired Associate Professor from the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Christian Updike, M.D., Director of HealthOne Occupation Medicine Specialty Clinic, Denver, CO; Board certified in family medicine; Medical experience includes, Emergency Department, Hospitalist and Family Practice Partner. Dr. Updike is also a member of the Prognosis CMIO Panel.
